Formlabs Form Studio 1 Build Platform and Build Platform Flex
A Second Platform Keeps the Printer Busy
To start the next print while the last one washes, add a spare build platform. Build Platform Flex adds quick release: a flex of the plate pops parts free with no scraping. Form Studio 1 platforms are made for Form Studio 1 and don't fit Form 4.

- Quick Release on Flex: Flex the plate and parts pop off without a scraper.
- Wash on the Platform: Form Studio Wash+Cure washes parts while they're still on the platform.
- A Platform per Material: Keeping one platform for each resin makes material swaps cleaner.
- Form Studio 1 Only: The latch that seats the platform differs from Form 4's, so the platforms aren't interchangeable.
Flex to Release
To remove parts without tools, give Build Platform Flex a quick flex and the parts pop free. Keep gloves on, since parts and the platform carry liquid resin until they're washed.
Build Platform Flex comes with every Flex package and with the Aqua, Teal and Violet Founders Editions.
Clips Onto the Arm
To install a platform, slide it onto the arm and lock it in place. Before each print, the printer's sensors check that the build platform, resin tank and cartridge are installed.
Good to Know
- Washing in Form Wash V2? Build Platform Flex needs arm adapters to sit in Form Wash.
- Parts taller than 215 mm come out with the resin tank attached, and parts taller than 200 mm need to come off the platform before washing in Form Studio Wash+Cure.
